The Rise of Leadership
In 1938, Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung was elected president of MIM. He quickly emerged as one of the most influential voices of the community and was honored with the title Qaid-e-Millat. His exceptional oratory, dedication, and leadership elevated the organization to remarkable prominence before his untimely demise in 1944.
📜 Evolution of AIMIM Foundation & Early Mission
The organization, originally known as Ittehad Bainal Muslimeen, was founded to promote: Educational upliftment Social justice Economic empowerment It later evolved into AIMIM, continuing the mission of representation and advocacy.
The Years of Transition
Following the events of Police Action (1948) and the integration of Hyderabad into the Indian Union, the organization temporarily ceased to exist. During this period, the community experienced immense social and political upheaval, documented by the Pandit Sundarlal Committee, which recorded widespread atrocities in the region.
Founded at a historic gathering in Hyderabad to advance creation of the organization.
Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung elected president.
MIM ceased to exist after Hyderabad’s accession.
Contested Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections and emerged as a strong opposition.
Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi secured the party’s first legislative win.
Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi assumed leadership and guided the organization for over three decades.
